Quality alert “Code Orange” in force

“Go out either early or late at night,” said Eboni Deon, meteorologist at Channel 2 Action News.

Highs in the city today will be around 90 degrees, and skies will be cloudy but there will be no rain. There is only a 10 percent chance of a sudden shower on Thursday, but most of us will experience a mix of sun and clouds. Highs will remain just above 90 degrees then too.

Aside from a slight chance of rain on Thursday, it will stay dry at least through Sunday. The dry weather will bring on the heat, and highs of 98 degrees are expected by Saturday, just over the 100-degree mark. That’s well above the average high of 87 degrees for this time of year.

Some improvement is expected on Monday with a 40 percent chance of rain and an expected maximum temperature of 31 degrees.
