Accident in Knox County claims one life on Monday

KNOX COUNTY, Illinois – A Galesburg man has died after a car crash in rural Knox County.

According to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred on Monday, June 10, at approximately 5:40 p.m. on Knox Highway 23 at Knox Road 50 East. An initial investigation revealed that the man was driving eastbound on Highway 23 when he left the road and crashed.

The victim was identified as an 85-year-old man. His name is being withheld pending notification of his family.
