Man wanted for fraud arrested after chase on Missouri highway

KANSAS CITY, Missouri (KCTV) – A man wanted for fraud was arrested after speeding on a Missouri highway and attempting to elude police officers.

The Cass County Sheriff’s Office in Missouri said officers attempted to stop a vehicle for speeding near Highway 58 near Strasburg around 5 p.m. on Friday, June 7.

However, police officials said the driver, later identified as 32-year-old Nicholas Davis, instead attempted to elude them, stopping the vehicle near 179th and Highway E before getting out and fleeing.

The sheriff’s office said a tracking dog unit found Davis a short time later. It was also discovered that Davis had an outstanding warrant for his arrest in Kansas City for fraud. He remains behind bars, pending charges.

Police officials said no injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
