Niagara Falls man arrested for multiple ghost guns

On June 5, 2024, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the City of Niagara Police Department arrested Joshua M. McClelland, 42, of Niagara Falls, NY, for criminal possession of a weapon 4th (Ghost weapon), Criminal possession of a firearm, Criminal possession of an assault weapon 3rdCriminal possession of weapons 3rd (silencer), criminal possession of weapons 3rd (large capacity ammunition feeding device) and unauthorized purchase of body armor.

On June 5, 2024, City of Niagara Police were seeking assistance on a suspicious property complaint in Expressway Village in the City of Niagara. During this initial investigation, several weapons were located. City of Niagara Police requested assistance. The investigation revealed that McClelland was in possession of four rifles (no serial numbers), two handguns (no serial numbers), a body armor, a high capacity ammunition magazine, and a weapon silencer. McClelland was arrested and transported to SP Niagara for processing.

McClelland was transported to the Niagara County Jail for arraignment under the CAP procedure.
