One dead after industrial vehicle hits motorized wheelchair in Pascagoula, police say

PASCAGOULA, Miss. (WLOX) – Officials are on the scene after a fatal crash on Market Street near McDonald’s in Pascagoula.

Pascagoula Police issued a traffic alert on Facebook at 3:11 p.m. to notify drivers of the accident. The post reads:

Officials have since announced that a person in a power wheelchair, now identified as Jackie Davis, was seriously injured in the crash and later died in hospital. He was struck by a vehicle that resembled a garbage truck.
