Man dies in shooting at Hope Mills on Deaver Circle: Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office

HOPE MILLS, NC (WNCN) — A man was found dead of gunshot wounds in Hope Mills early Tuesday morning, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Officers responded to a 911 call about a shooting in the 3100 block of Deaver Circle at approximately 1:28 a.m. When they arrived, they found an unconscious man with gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff’s office said. His identity will not be released pending notification of next of kin.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and is being handled by the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit.
