In 2022, Ava’s sexuality became a topic of discussion for internet users when a fan asked her on Instagram if she was attracted to boys or girls. To which the Withspoon family daughter replied, “I’m attracted to… people! (Gender doesn’t matter.)”

Now, on Saturday (June 1), Ava shared a picture in which she appears to be wearing a bralette and green pants with silver embellishments. In the photo, Ava appeared to be waving the rainbow flag, signifying that she is an ally of the community.

The daughter of the Phillippe-Witherspoon family captioned the post: “Once upon a time there was a girl on the internet who said ‘gender doesn’t matter’ in reference to her own sexuality.”

Ava added that many people took her words out of context, but she knew what she wanted to say. She said, “Anyway, this is her contribution to the first day of Pride Month 2024.”

Ava took to Instagram again, sharing a story in which she posed in front of a beach. She was all smiles as she took the selfie on a sunny day. Ava happily threw shade at her haters, writing, “Happy #PrideMonth to: the haters who engage with my content and make me a little money.” She wittily added, “Now that’s what I call an ally!”, according to People.

According to the outlet, she wished the “Block Button” and the LGBTQ+ community a Happy Pride Month. Ava added, “Now we can enjoy this beautiful beach again…”
