According to police, Route 7 in Brookfield is closed due to filming

BROOKFIELD – Police said motorists will be diverted from Route 7 to Route 202 on Monday due to filming of a movie.

The Route 7 detour will run from the New Milford city limits to Exit 12 in Brookfield from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday, police said.

According to Brookfield police, filming for “Summer House” will take place on this stretch of road for approximately eight hours.

The agency said state police would also assist in setting up diversions and controlling traffic volumes.

According to Backstage, a casting website, scenes for the film are scheduled to shoot in the Danbury area from May 28 to June 15. The film is about a young man who cares for an alcoholic while “waiting to be drafted into the Vietnam War,” according to IMDB.
