North Oconee Access Road Bridge and Multiuse Trail closed June 3 to July 15 for repairs and maintenance

The bridge and multi-use trail section connecting College Station Road to the UGA park-and-ride lot, water treatment plant and North Oconee Greenway will be closed June 3 through July 15 for bridge repairs and maintenance.

The North Oconee Access Road bridge and the multi-use trail portion on the bridge connecting College Station Road to the University of Georgia park-and-ride lot, North Oconee Water Reclamation Facility and North Oconee Greenway will be closed from June 3 to July 15 for bridge repairs and maintenance.

The work includes repairing a joint that allows water to drain under the bridge and cause erosion, as well as resealing the bridge. The repairs and maintenance will be done during the summer, as the park-and-ride lots are heavily used by private vehicles and UGA transit buses during the University of Georgia’s academic year.

The section of the North Oconee River Greenway that runs under the bridge will remain open to pedestrians and non-motorized vehicles during the work.
