Motorcyclist killed in accident on East University Avenue

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – A motorcyclist was killed on East University Avenue tonight when he collided with a pickup truck that had driven into the roadway.

At approximately 11:49 p.m., the motorcyclist was traveling eastbound on E. University Avenue and struck the side of a pickup truck entering E. University Avenue from SE 18th Street. The motorcyclist, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
