Shea’s 710 Theater to host Starring Buffalo’s ‘Titanic’

Titanic, the musical opens tomorrow at Shea’s 710 Theater in downtown Buffalo.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — You get two chances to see the Buffalo Titanic with Buffalo.

The Titanic is part of the Starring Buffalo series, which is inspired by the encore concert series in New York.

Actors will be on stage to perform the book. The show is like a staged concert, so you get a show without the full production element. It is expected that you will come away appreciating the musical score and the book.

Karen Harty plays various roles. “Titanic is really about the story of the real people who were on the Titanic, their real lives. What happened to them and it’s heavy. There are some parts that are, you know, quite, quite sad, but it’s really about the resilience of the people who survive.

Jay Dref, a Buffalo native who attended Juilliard, said, “The music is right, it’s absolutely stunning. When I was offered a role in this production, I couldn’t pass it up because I had heard of the show, I had never really listened to the show. complete thing, you know in its entirety. And I did and like I said, the music is so beautiful.

Dref has traveled the world and performed with the world’s best-selling soprano, Sarah Brightman.
