Boy dies Sunday after shooting in Fort Worth; police say no arrests made

A boy was shot dead in Fort Worth on Sunday evening during a suspected robbery attempt, police said.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to the 3800 block of Silverton Circle, where someone reported a shooting, police said.

Officers found a “minor male” who appeared to have been shot, police said. The boy, whose name police did not release Monday, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

“Initial investigations suggest that one or more unknown suspects attempted to rob the victim at the time of the shooting,” police said in a press release on Monday.

As of Monday morning, police said there had been no arrests in connection with the shooting.
