RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WOLO) – A man is behind bars after shooting his fiancée multiple times, according to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department.

On May 24, 2024, at approximately 8:00 p.m., officers responded to a shooting incident at a residence in the 5400 block of Bluff Road. Investigators say officers arrived and found the victim. The victim had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to the lower body and was transported to a local hospital.

After further investigation, it was determined that the victim was shot by her fiancé, Braden Robinson. Robinson had left the scene and was tracked down by RCSD investigators that same evening.

The circumstances leading to the shooting are still under investigation.

According to the Richland County Sheriff’s Department, Robinson was charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. He was taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center without further incident and is currently in custody.
