TCI: External investigation into police-involved shooting begins

An independent investigation has been launched to clarify the circumstances of a police shooting in the Turks and Caicos Islands.

The Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force confirmed that two detectives from the Royal Cayman Islands Police Service arrived at the TCI on May 24.

Investigators are actively seeking the public’s assistance following a police shooting on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 in Blue Hills, Providenciales, that left a male teenager dead.
