Underage siblings watch porn together; Brother rapes and impregnates sister

Navi Mumbai police booked a 13-year-old boy under IPC and POCSO after his parents came to a hospital to terminate his 15-year-old sister’s three-month-old pregnancy. The minor girl claimed in her statement to police that her younger brother impregnated her after the siblings watched porn together.

The siblings’ parents visited Vashi General Hospital, which reported the medico-legal case to the police, following which they booked the boy, as per a report in Hindustan Times. A police officer investigating the matter said the siblings first tried to have sex in December 2023 but failed.

“But the following month (January), the boy allegedly raped her despite her asking him not to. The mother finally came to know about the matter after the victim stopped menstruating,” the official said.

The case has been forwarded to the Khandeshwar police and the Child Protection Commission will decide the further course of action in the boy’s case.

The boy was charged under Sections 376 (rape) and 376(2)(n) (repeated rape of the same woman) of the Indian Penal Code and Sections 4, 6, 8 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act .

In a similarly heinous act that came to light on Monday, police in Ghaziabad arrested two brothers for allegedly raping their 14-year-old sister. Police said that the minor girl suffered from stomach pain on Saturday following which her mother took her to a diagnostic center in Delhi for an ultrasound scan. It was confirmed here that she was 22 weeks pregnant, police added.
