A 70-year-old man has been charged with incest and sexual assault, according to Windsor police

Windsor police officers have filed multiple charges against a 70-year-old man in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor.

Earlier this month, the Windsor Police Amherstburg Detachment launched an investigation after receiving a report of a “historic sexual assault.”

“Through the investigation, officers learned that a 12-year-old victim was assaulted by an adult male relative over a four-year period,” a Windsor Police Service statement said.

As a result of the investigation, a 70-year-old man was arrested in Amherstburg on May 9th.

The suspect, whose name cannot be released to protect the victim’s identity, is charged with three counts of sexual assault, three counts of sexual harassment, three counts of solicitation of sexual touching, two counts of incest and one count of… Assault and one count of extortion.
