Bucks guard Patrick Beverley was suspended for four games

According to Sean Leahy and Ryan Young of Yahoo! Thursday Sports: Milwaukee Bucks guard Patrick Beverley of Chicago, Illinois, was suspended four games early in the 2024-25 National Basketball Association regular season. The reason for the suspension was inappropriate behavior in Game 6 of the first round of the Eastern Conference playoffs between the Bucks and the Indiana Pacers, a 120-98 Pacers victory on May 2.

Beverley threw a basketball into the crowd several times. At one point he actually hit a spectator in the head and then threw a basketball at high speed towards another spectator. It was a huge surprise to many that Beverley wasn’t ejected from the game for his actions. However, he will face disciplinary action at the start of next season.

Beverley’s poor behavior continued after the Bucks’ 22-point loss. Beverley told ESPN’s Malinda Adams that he wouldn’t answer any of her questions in a postgame media scrum because she wasn’t subscribed to his podcast. Well, I had absolutely no idea Beverley had a podcast, and it will be interesting to see how many more subscribers Beverley gets as a result of his actions on his podcast.

The Pacers, meanwhile, are trailing the New York Knicks in the second round after two losses. New York won game one by a score of 121-117 on Monday and 130-121 on Tuesday. Knicks star Jalen Brunson has posted an impressive total of 72 points in the first two games of the series so far. Game three is Friday in Indiana.
