Motorcyclist killed in crash in Barnegat

A 63-year-old motorcyclist died in a crash in Barnegat Friday evening, police said.

According to authorities, the man was traveling south on Warren Grove Road when he hit a deer running in front of him around 7:30 p.m.

According to police, the man was taken to Southern Ocean Medical Center and pronounced dead.

According to authorities, the Barnegat Township Traffic Safety Unit is investigating the incident.
