Tucson police are investigating the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl in Midtown

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN) — Tucson police are searching for suspects and individuals involved in the sexual assault of a 13-year-old girl that allegedly occurred on Monday, April 1, in Midtown.

According to TPD, the girl was a passenger on the Sun Trans Route 17 bus. In a media release, police said an older man approached her and convinced her to go to his residence near East Kleindale and North Country Club streets . According to the release, the girl ingested an unknown substance, lost consciousness in the apartment, and eventually regained consciousness to find herself surrounded by the man and other men. According to police, some of the men sexually abused her during this time.

According to the media release, the attack was reported to patrol officers the following day. As part of their investigation, the police located and searched the apartment described by the victim. Police have also released sketches of three people suspected of being involved.
