Minnesota man arrested in Wisconsin after officers find 30 pounds of marijuana and 1 pound of methamphetamine

SUMNER, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in western Wisconsin said they arrested a Minnesota man after a traffic stop turned up 30 pounds of marijuana, a pound of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

According to a press release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, officers conducted a traffic stop at 1:48 a.m. on July 27 near the 88-mile marker on Interstate 94 in the city of Sumner.


Officials say that during the traffic stop, several indications of criminal activity were noted, which led to the deployment of Sniffer Dog Luke. Sniffer Dog Luke clearly pointed to the vehicle and officers began searching the vehicle.

During the search, officers found two duffel bags containing approximately 30 pounds of marijuana, one pound of methamphetamine and other drug paraphernalia.

The driver of the vehicle, Danny G. Reynold of New Hope, Minnesota, was arrested on several drug charges and taken to the Trempealeau County Jail.

No further information is available at this time and the investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
