UPDATE: The al-Qassam Brigades said they attacked a Nimr troop carrier in the southern Gaza city of Rafah with a Red Arrow guided missile.

Israeli media reported on Sunday a “difficult security incident” in Khan Yunis, where clashes are taking place between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli army.

An Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that an Israeli helicopter landed under artillery fire in the town of Bani Suheila, east of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Israeli media reported that Israeli soldiers wounded in fighting in the area had been evacuated.

Israeli Channel 12 reported heavy fighting in Khan Yunis.

Smoke bombs

Palestinian sources said occupation forces fired smoke bombs in the center of Bani Suheila, Al-Jazeera reported. Smoke bombs, often fired from military helicopters, often indicate an attempt to evacuate dead or injured soldiers.

The sources added that clashes broke out this morning in the Sheikh Nasser neighborhood in the east of the city.

Israeli occupation forces recently launched a new military operation east of Khan Yunis, months after withdrawing from the city following a large-scale attack that killed scores of Palestinians and destroyed entire areas.

According to the United Nations, the new Israeli operation led to the expulsion of at least 180,000 Palestinians from the eastern districts of Khan Yunis within the first four days.

In preparation for a new expulsion campaign, the Israeli army on Saturday called on residents of the southern districts of Khan Yunis to evacuate in order to carry out a so-called major operation in the area.

The Israeli army announced today that a soldier had died from injuries sustained a week earlier in the southern Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army said in a statement that its forces continued to carry out airstrikes on dozens of “security targets” across the Gaza Strip, including military buildings, armed cells and infrastructure.

The statement said the attack on a rocket launcher took place in the Zeitoun neighborhood of Gaza and that weapons were found in Khan Yunis.

Tel Al-Hawa

In addition to Khan Yunis, the Palestinian resistance is also involved in fierce clashes with occupying forces in the Tel Al-Hawa district, southwest of Gaza City.

The Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian resistance movement Hamas, said today that they had attacked the command centers of the occupation forces in the Netzarim axis with 114 mm short-range rockets.

The group also claimed to have fired large-caliber grenade launchers at Israeli occupation forces advancing into the area around University College, south of Gaza City.

“We are tired of attacking tanks” – Resistance Summary – Day 295

The Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, announced that they had fired mortar shells and rockets at soldiers and vehicles of the occupation army at the Abu Oraiban site in the Netzarim axis.

It was also reported that vehicles and soldiers at the Bani Suheila cemetery east of Khan Yunis were attacked with mortar shells.

New massacres

Meanwhile, an Al-Jazeera correspondent reported that Israeli warplanes carried out attacks on various areas of the Gaza Strip a day after the Deir al-Balah massacre in which dozens of Palestinians were killed or injured.

The correspondent added that six people, including a child, were killed in two Israeli attacks, one of which targeted the tents of the displaced people west of Khan Yunis. He said that the bodies of 15 Palestinians had arrived at Nasser Hospital in the city since dawn today.

South of Khan Yunis, Israeli tanks advanced into the northern parts of the city, while the western parts came under heavy fire.

In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery continues to shell residential blocks in Deir al-Balah and carry out heavy attacks.

In addition, Israeli forces have intensified their shelling of the northern areas of the Nuseirat camp.

“Health disaster” – Medical centers in Khan Yunis closed after evacuation orders

A series of explosions were also heard in the areas around Wadi Gaza, Al-Da’wa, al-Mughraqa and al-Zahra. Neighbourhoods in Gaza City were also shelled.

One Palestinian was killed and others injured in an Israeli attack on the industrial area southwest of Gaza City, Palestinian media reported.

Casualties were also reported from targeted shelling of the outskirts of the Zeitoun district in the southeast of the city.

The Health Ministry in Gaza announced today that occupation forces had carried out three massacres in the Gaza Strip, killing 66 people and wounding 241.

The ministry added that the number of victims of Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip has reached 39,324 dead and 90,830 injured since October 7.
