BALTIMORE, MD – The Maryland Department of Environmental Quality has issued an Orange Air Quality Alert for the Baltimore area for Sunday, July 21.

An orange air quality warning means that the concentration of air pollution in the region could become harmful to the health of sensitive groups.

Sensitive groups include children, people with asthma, heart or other lung diseases, and the elderly.Code Orange Baltimore 20240721

The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous outdoor activities or sports.
