Minnesota driver accused of OWI arrested in Monroe Co

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) – A 44-year-old Minnesota resident was arrested Thursday on charges of operating a motor vehicle under the influence – fifth offense, the Wisconsin State Patrol Southwest Region Tomah Post reports.

According to authorities, just at 8:30 p.m., a Wisconsin State Patrol trooper stopped a vehicle for a suspected speeding violation on I-94 in Monroe County.

When the driver was stopped, officers noticed signs of driver impairment, according to authorities. The driver was arrested for OWI – 5th offense.

The driver also faces numerous other charges, including driving after revocation.
