How to watch MLB game tonight, on TV, at what time

The Atlanta Braves will take on the San Diego Padres on FOX tonight at 6:00 p.m. CT. Fans can watch the MLB game in prime time for free online using free trials offered by Fubo TV and DirecTV Stream.

It will be the second game of an important series, as both teams are competing for a wild card spot in the National League.

The Braves are a handful of games above .500, and they’ve played decently in their last few games. The team won a series against the division-leading Philadelphia Phillies last weekend, and they followed that performance by splitting a four-game series with the Arizona Diamondbacks. Those results put the Braves in the lead in the National League Wild Card standings as they try to beat San Diego tonight.

The Braves entered this series on a two-game losing streak, dropping the last two games to Arizona. That included a tough 1-0 loss Thursday in which only three Atlanta players had a hit.

For the Braves to win tonight, they need to help their pitchers score runs. Atlanta has struggled to play well offensively this season, but they have shown the ability to score a lot of runs in a game thanks to their star player Marcell Ozuna.

The Padres are in the running for a wild card spot this year as they currently have a winning record. However, the team has struggled recently, losing four straight games heading into this series. With that in mind, San Diego looks to turn things around at home against Atlanta this weekend.

The Padres will need to rely on Jurickson Profar on offense, as he leads the team in many statistical categories. Profar is batting over .300 and has about 60 RBIs this year, making him their biggest threat at the plate. Given that Atlanta has a great pitching staff, Profar will be at a disadvantage tonight. However, he is hitting the ball well this month.
