A boating accident on Table Rock Lake, half a mile south of Blue Eye near Point 2, left two people injured around 11 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred when a 2014 Sea-Doo watercraft driven by a 13-year-old girl from Clive, Iowa, attempted to jump a wake. Both occupants of the watercraft were ejected.

The driver, who was wearing a flotation device, sustained no injuries and was able to drive the watercraft away from the scene. However, the passenger, identified as Kyra Moore, 52, also of Clive, Iowa, was not wearing a flotation device and suffered moderate injuries. Moore was taken to Cox South Hospital in Branson, Missouri for treatment.

The Sea-Doo was not damaged in the incident and no other vehicles or people were involved. The watercraft was insured with Signa.
