Tampa resident shoots man who entered his home through window: police

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Tampa police said they are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning.

Officials said police responded to a burglary alarm from a home on South Bermuda Boulevard around 4:19 a.m.


When they arrived at the house, they found a man in his 40s who had been shot in the upper body. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to police, the shooter said he shot the man after he illegally entered his home through a window.

According to the department, the shooter is cooperating with investigators and there is currently no danger to the public.
