84-year-old man killed in Philadelphia house fire, officials say – NBC10 Philadelphia

An elderly man died in a house fire in Philadelphia on Wednesday afternoon, police said.

According to police, officers and firefighters responded to a house fire in the 2300 block of E. Lehigh Ave. at 1:35 p.m.

Police said an 84-year-old man was found unconscious on the first floor. Paramedics pronounced him dead at 1:42 p.m.

By 2pm the fire was under control

The man’s identity was not disclosed.
