Teenager arrested after ‘reckless driving’ through Bristol: Police

Police said a stolen Jeep Grand Cherokee was driven “recklessly” and “put numerous lives in danger.”

BRISTOL, Connecticut — A juvenile was arrested Monday after driving a stolen vehicle on sidewalks and through construction sites, according to Bristol City Police.

According to police, officers were on patrol on Riverside Avenue near Blakeslee Street when they observed the stolen black Jeep Grand Cherokee driving “recklessly.”

According to police, the driver of the Jeep “endangered numerous lives” during his journey.

Officers stopped the Jeep with stop sticks – a device used to let air out of tires – and arrested the teenager, police said. Police did not disclose his age.
