At least six people were killed and eight others injured when a car rammed into pedestrians in downtown Seoul on Monday, police said.

According to police, the accident occurred around 9:30 p.m. at an intersection near Seoul City Hall.

A vehicle driven by a man in his 70s rammed into pedestrians waiting at a traffic light. Police said they were investigating the accident, adding that the number of casualties could rise. (Yonhap)
