Investigation underway after body found in Wabash River

Terre Haute, Indiana (WTWO) – Terre Haute Police have confirmed that a body was found in the Wabash River.

On Saturday afternoon, THPD responded to a report that a body had been found near the river bank in the 700 block of N 1st.

Officials say this is an ongoing investigation and information will be released as appropriate.

Terre Haute Police believe there is no apparent threat to the community.
