Man arrested after investigation leads to drug raid in Slidell

SLIDELL, Louisiana (WGNO) – A 21-year-old man was arrested after an investigation led to a drug raid in the Slidell area.

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that detectives searched a home in the 100 block of W. Chamale Cove on June 20 following a drug investigation.


During the search, STPSO investigators found counterfeit pills containing fentanyl, marijuana, illegal THC products, tapentadol, psilocybin mushrooms, drug paraphernalia “indicative of drug trafficking,” and a handgun.

According to STPSO, “two young children were in the home when detectives arrived.”

During the investigation, STPSO officers subsequently arrested Isaiah Malik Torregano.

Torregano is accused of the following:

  • Two counts of distribution of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance (marijuana/THC)
  • Distribution of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (fentanyl)
  • Distribution of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (tapentadol)
  • Possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute (marijuana)
  • Possession of a Schedule I controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute (psilocybin mushrooms)
  • Possession of a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (tapentadol)
  • Illegal carrying of weapons
  • Unlawful possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17 years of age
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

STPSO officials said investigators have also contacted the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services.
