Las Vegas police search for suspect after woman found dead on street

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Police are searching for a suspect after a woman was found dead on the street late Friday night.

At around 11:30 p.m., officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a report that a woman was lying unresponsive in the street and moved to the area between East Yuma Avenue and South Frank Street.

Medical personnel arrived at the scene and confirmed her death. Officials believed she had been the victim of homicide.

According to police, the woman got into an argument with an unknown person on the hood of an SUV. The SUV then came to several abrupt stops, causing the woman to fall off and hit her head on the road, police said.

The SUV then fled the area before police arrived.

This is an ongoing investigation.
