Man found dead with gunshot wound in 15th Street store

AUGUSTA (WJBF) – The Richmond County Coroner’s Office responded to the 1500 block of 15^th Street in reference to a shooting death.

The call came in at 7:45 a.m. on Friday morning.

A man was found shot dead in a business parking lot.

Coroner Mark Bowen pronounced the victim dead at the scene at 8:00 a.m.

An autopsy is planned.

The victim’s name was not released.
