There are always plenty of festivities and fireworks happening in the Atlanta metro area for the 4th of July. Here are some of the events happening in the area. Please note that some events take place on July 3rd (or even earlier/later).

What: Thousands of runners will participate in the annual Peachtree Road Race.

What: There will be a freedom run, a parade, a festival and fireworks. The Freedom Run is a 5K run or 1.6K walk/trot. The festival will feature carnival games, mini golf, food , arts and crafts, music and much more. Fireworks at dusk.
