Youngstown police hope for new officers

The Youngstown Police Department is looking for new police officers to join its ranks.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, and reside in Mahoning or an adjacent county.

Potential new hires must also pass a written exam, a fitness test, a full background investigation, a polygraph test, as well as a psychological and drug test.

YPD reports police officer salaries to be between $43,680 and $62,479.04.

The application deadline is July 11th at 4 p.m.
