Eight people were killed and 19 injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine over the past day, regional authorities said on June 22.

Russia targeted a total of 14 Ukrainian oblasts – Chernihiv, Sumy, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Luhansk, Vinnytsia, Lviv, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Kharkiv and Donetsk. Casualties were reported in the last four regions.

The districts of Pokrovsk, Bakhmut and Kramatorsk came under Russian attack in Donetsk Oblastsaid Governor Vadym Filashkin.

According to the governor, two people were killed and three injured in the town of Selydove. Five high-rise buildings, six houses and a car were damaged in the Russian attack.

In Moscow’s numerous attacks on the city of Toretsk, two residents were killed and one injured, and 13 houses, an administrative building and an infrastructure facility were damaged, Filashkin said.

One person was killed and three injured in Russia’s attacks on the villages of Druzhba, Pivnichne and Niu-York, the governor reported.

In Kharkiv OblastA Russian drone hit a Ukrposhta postal vehicle in the city of Vovchansk, killing the driver and injuring a man, reported Governor Oleh Syniehubov.

Russian forces attacked a food warehouse in the city of Kryvyi Rih in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast with a missile, damaging Warehouses of a dozen companies, said Governor Serhii Lysak. Two men aged 22 and 60 were injured, he added.

Russia also attacked the Nikopol district 15 times last day, injuring a 71-year-old man, Lysak said.

Russian attacks against Kherson Oblast Three houses, a high-rise building and an administrative building were damaged, said Governor Oleksandr Prokudin. One person was killed and four injured in the region last day, said Prokudin.

One man was killed in a Russian attack on the Polohy district of Zaporizhia Oblast, said Governor Ivan Fedorov. Four other people were injured in the Polohy and Zaporizhia districts.

Ukrainian air defenses shot down all 13 Shahed combat drones and 12 of the 16 missiles that Russia fired on the night of June 22, said Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk. Energy infrastructure was damaged in several regions.
