So, bullets were flying in broad daylight, leaving a man dead and at least one other person injured. Good evening, and thank you for being here at 10. I’m Chris Jacobs. This double shooting took place on Colerain Avenue and Camp Washington. WLWT News Five’s Daisy Kershaw was on the scene tonight just moments after it happened. Daisy, what can you tell us? Chris, a police officer tells me the victim was a 47-year-old man. He was pronounced dead at the scene and said a second victim showed up here at the UC Medical Department. The man killed, I’m told, was a father who was loved by many in the community. NEXT THING WE HEAR GUNS. WHOEVER DID THIS NEEDS TO BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR IT. GUNS RING OUT AT CAMP WASHINGTON. A DOUBLE SHOOTING ON COLERAIN AVENUE THIS AFTERNOON THAT LEFT A 47-YEAR-OLD MAN DEAD. CPR IS IN PROGRESS. I WASN’T BREATHING. NOW. FRIENDS TELLING US HE WAS A FATHER. HE WOULD GIVE ANYONE HIS SHIRT IF THEY NEEDED HELP. HE WAS THERE. THE OTHER VICTIM SHOWS UP AT THE HOSPITAL. HE HAD A SECOND VICTIM. SURE, BUT YOU SEE INVESTIGATORS STAYING ON THE SCENE FOR HOURS TALKING TO NEIGHBORS AND LOVED ONES. CRIME SCENE, THE ENTIRE STREET BARRED OFF WITH TAPE, BULLET CASES ON THE GROUND DISAPPEARED, AND UNBREAKED FACES PAYING WHEN WE GET THE CALL. WE JUST RUN UP HERE LIKE I DIDNT KNOW WHAT MY FRIENDS ARE DOING THERE RIGHT NOW. LIKE I NEEDED TO COMFORT HIM. THAT WAS HIS LONGTIME FRIEND. HE HELPED HIM GET OFF THE STREETS AND EVERYTHING. THOSE WHO KNEW THE VICTIM SAID HE WAS INCREDIBLY VOLUNTARY AND ARE NOW PRAYING FOR JUSTICE FOR A MAN WHO HELPED MANY. I’VE SEEN SO MUCH GOOD COME FROM HIM. BASED ON THE CALLS TO HOSTING, WE BELIEVE THE POLICE HAVE WITNESSES AND MAYBE A SUSPICIOUS DESCRIPTION, BUT SO FAR THERE ARE NO ARRESTS. LIVE REPORT TONIGHT FROM UC MEDICAL CENTER.

Units from the Cincinnati Police and Fire Department arrived at the scene. According to Cincinnati Police, a 47-year-old man died at the scene after being shot. On Wednesday evening, police identified the victim as Nicky Reese. Police said a second victim, another man, arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. Police had no information on the second victim’s age or condition. CPD has not said what led to the shooting or if any suspect information is known. It happened around 5 p.m. on Colerain Avenue. Cincinnati Police and Fire Department units arrived at the scene.

According to Cincinnati police, a 47-year-old man died at the scene after being shot. On Wednesday evening, police identified the victim as Nicky Reese.

According to police, a second victim, another man, was taken to hospital with a gunshot wound. Police have no information about the age or condition of the second victim.
