Cape Coast Teaching Hospital discontinues haemodialysis services

The Cape Coast Teaching Hospital has temporarily suspended its haemodialysis services.

A statement signed by Public Relations Officer Fred Nyankah said the measure was due to maintenance work that needed to be carried out to ensure that only quality services were provided.

“This is to respectfully inform our valued customers and the public of the temporary suspension of haemodialysis services at the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital. This has become necessary due to some quality issues encountered last week during our regular operations.

“We understand the importance of this service in our catchment area and the challenges this suspension poses for our customers and the public and therefore we sincerely regret this suspension of services,” the statement said.

Meanwhile, the hospital has promised a quick resumption of operations, possibly before the end of next week.
