Norman Reedus mourns the loss of Seven, the dog from “The Walking Dead”

Norman Reedus mourns the death of dog actor Seven, who played his character Daryl Dixon’s four-legged companion in “The Walking Dead,” and writes in his Instagram stories “I will miss you, Seven” along with a broken heart emoji.

The official Instagram account of the AMC zombie series “The Walking Dead” announced the news of Seven’s death on Thursday with a series of photos.

“Rest in peace, Seven,” the post reads. “#TWD’s best boy.”

Angela Kang, the series’ final showrunner, reposted the show’s announcement about Seven and said with a crying face, “RIP Seven.”

Seven, a Belgian Malinois, made his debut in the series in season 9 and appeared in over 20 episodes. Reedus then landed his own “TWD” spinoff series, “The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon.”
