Man killed in shooting in Verdunville on Thursday morning

St. Mary Parish, Louisiana (KLFY) — A man was found shot to death in a Verdunville home this morning, authorities said.

St. Mary Parish officials said that at 5:36 a.m. today, officers were dispatched to a report of a person shot in the Verdunville area. Upon arrival, a man was found shot inside a residence. First responders arrived and rendered aid, but the man died.

Investigators said they do not currently believe there is an imminent threat to the public and that the investigation into this incident is ongoing.
