Man shot dead in apartment complex parking lot on Tuesday evening, police said

BATON ROUGE, Louisiana (WAFB) – A man was shot in the parking lot of an apartment complex on Tuesday evening, June 11, according to Baton Rouge police.

According to police, the shooting occurred around 8:30 p.m. at the Sherwood Acres Apartments on Coursey Boulevard in Baton Rouge.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Police said his injuries were not life-threatening.

The investigation is ongoing.
