Alexander Evans of Moulton released on bail after allegedly attacking a woman

MOULTON, Ala. (WAFF) – A Moulton man is free on bail after being arrested for attacking a woman in her home, police said.

According to our news partners at the Moulton Advertiser, Moulton Police arrested Alexander Evans on May 29.

On May 25, officers responded to a reported robbery at an apartment complex on Byler Road. When they arrived, officers found a woman with visible injuries to her face. Officers said they learned Evans went to the victim’s home, ripped off her Ring doorbell, and then kicked in her door.

Evans then allegedly attacked her, took her cell phone, ID and other items and made off.

When Evans was arrested, officers said they found marijuana and brass knuckles, as well as several items that belonged to the victim and that he had taken from her.

He is accused of burglary, robbery, property damage and domestic violence.

Evans was taken to the Lawrence County Jail and released on $35,000 bail.
