Man arrested by KVET | WKZO | Everything Kalamazoo

KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – A 45-year-old man was arrested by members of the Kalamazoo Valley Enforcement Team on drug trafficking and other charges.

On May 30, officers went to the 1000 block of Trimble Avenue for a search warrant, but the suspect attempted to flee.

While running, he dropped a firearm, which was confiscated. KVET investigators also found crack and fentanyl on him.

The suspect is also a person of interest in connection with a recent shooting in the city of Kalamazoo and has previous convictions for serious crimes. He is prohibited from possessing a firearm.
