Regular police investigate weekend shooting

NORMAL – Police are investigating a shooting incident that occurred early Saturday morning in north Normal.

Shortly after 1 a.m., officers were called to the 100 block of Northfield Drive because several gunshots were heard in the area.

Officers said they found evidence of a shooting and several unoccupied vehicles were struck by gunfire.

There were no reports of injuries and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
