Driver of a police escort dies in tragic accident

In a heartbreaking incident, a police escort motorcyclist named Sergeant Frempah Bismark was killed in a tragic accident following a collision with a vehicle in Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East Region.

Sergeant Frempah Bismark was killed in an accident while on his way to meet a musician for an evening show on Thursday.

According to reports, the unfortunate crash occurred because difficult weather conditions with strong winds and dust impaired Sergeant Frempah’s visibility.

Due to this obstruction, he lost control of his motorcycle with the registration number AS 8297-22 and collided with a passing vehicle.

Sergeant Frempah Bismark hails from Tuobodom in Techiman North District and previously served in the Ministry of Home Affairs before taking up his role as a police escort. He had a solid education, having studied Evidence Law, Criminal Procedure Law and Police Ethics at the National Police Training School and was also a graduate of Tsito Secondary Technical School (TSTS).

The sudden and tragic death of Sergeant Frempah Bismark has left a void both in the police community and among those he served as a dedicated police escort.

The loss of a hardworking and dedicated officer like Sergeant Frempah is a stark reminder of the risks faced by those in the line of duty, even when performing routine duties.

While investigations into the circumstances of the accident are ongoing, we have received numerous messages of condolence for Sergeant Frempah Bismark from colleagues, friends and well-wishers who are mourning the loss of a respected member of the police force.
