Little Rock man dies in rollover crash near Hooks, Texas

HOOKS, Texas – One person was killed in a rollover accident near Hooks Wednesday morning.

The accident occurred around 8:15 a.m. on Interstate 30 near mile marker 212, according to an accident report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Valerie Kay, 24, of Benton, Arkansas, was driving a 2003 Land Rover east on the highway when the SUV left the road and began to roll, the report said.

Kay and passenger Demetrias Fowler, 25, of Little Rock, were injured in the accident.

LaKeith Williams, 25, of Little Rock, died at the scene of the accident. He was sitting in the back seat.

None of the vehicle’s occupants were wearing seat belts, the report says.

The investigation is ongoing.
