Pennington resident killed in car crash

A 21-year-old Pennington man was killed May 21 when his car went off the road and struck a tree on Route 518 near the Hopewell Borough border, the Hopewell Township Police Department said.

The accident was reported to police at 3:02 p.m. Officers found the victim’s car had left the road and ended up in a wooded area on Route 518 between The Kings Path and Aunt Molly Road.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, police said.

The accident is currently being investigated by the Hopewell Township Police Department and the Mercer County District Attorney’s Office Serious Collision Response Team.
