Church fire in Bessemer City under investigation – WSOC TV

GASTON COUNTY, NC — A fire at a Bessemer City church Monday evening is under investigation.

The incident occurred around 10 p.m. at the Christ Worship Center on Franklin Boulevard.

Firefighters said when they entered the church they encountered intense flames.

However, the fire was extinguished within 25 minutes.

According to fire officials, the building was empty at the time of the fire and no injuries were reported.

The Gastonia Fire Marshal’s Office is currently investigating the cause of the fire.
