Missing Rappahannock man found shortly after senior citizen alert issued |

Virginia State Police announced shortly after issuing a senior citizen alert Sunday that a missing Rappahannock man had been found.

William Edward Eager, 78, was last seen at his home on Hunters Road in Woodville, Virginia at 2:30 p.m. Saturday. He is believed to be driving a silver 2015 Subaru Outback with Virginia license plate VZR-7715. He is believed to be en route to Greensboro, North Carolina.

He is described as a white male, approximately 6′ tall, weighing 180 pounds, with brown eyes and brown-gray hair. He is wearing unknown clothing.

VSP updated its status to “Safe Location” at 4:50 p.m. on Sunday.

Eager suffers from cognitive impairment and the disappearance poses a credible threat to his health and safety, according to investigators.
