Drowning in Dublin Pond under investigation

DUBLIN – A man apparently drowned in Dublin Pond, prompting local authorities to launch an intensive investigation.

The New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol Unit received a call today, May 24, at 3:23 p.m. after the adult male was found unconscious in the water.

The man, who was rescued wearing a wetsuit and swimming cap, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to officials, the incident does not appear to be suspicious.

The identity and age of the deceased are not being disclosed at this time as authorities await notification from his family.

Members of the Dublin Police Department, Dublin Fire Department, State Police Troop C and the New Hampshire Medical Examiner’s Office responded to the incident.

Investigators are asking the public for information to assist with the ongoing investigation.
